We love our Community

Mayflower is dedicated to providing opportunities that advance social equity and promote justice and fairness in our communities. That’s why we have developed Mayflower’s Positive Impact Plan – a set of company initiatives that positively impact areas that have been disproportionately harmed by cannabis prohibition.

“The Positive Impact Plan is an exciting manifestation of our company values, and we are enriched by our integration into the vibrant community that we serve” – John Henderson, CEO of Mayflower

The Mayflower Positive Impact Plan will generate opportunities for job creation, professional and technical development, and economic empowerment for qualifying individuals. Mayflower will work with partners from identified communities to tailor efforts that achieve the greatest positive impacts. It is an integrated program approach with multiple avenues. Designed with company values in mind, the Plan supports the social equity initiatives set forth by the Cannabis Control Commission.

Mayflower Artist Spotlight Series (M.A.S.S.)

The M.A.S.S. program provides a platform for qualifying artists to showcase their artwork by designing packaging and in-store displays. Art students with an interest in graphic design, packaging art, or branding  integrate the formal training they receive at local colleges and art schools with the real-world experience of working with Mayflower’s marketing, compliance, and operations teams. More information on our Mayflower Artist Spotlight Series can be found here.

Fellowship Program

Mayflower offers a paid Fellowship Program each semester. Eligible Fellows from the local community gain relevant skills and industry experience in areas of interest as registered Mayflower agents. Fellows are paid and receive one-on-one training, training manuals and materials, and regular evaluations. After completing the program, Fellows may be eligible for full-time employment and accompanying benefits.

Community Gardens

Mayflower will partner with neighborhoods in areas of disproportionate impact near its facilities to identify suitable locations and develop gardens and green spaces in local communities. Mayflower intends to share its deep knowledge of gardening, sustainable practices, and pesticide-free, green processes to cultivate related skills and techniques among our community gardens partners.

Skills Seminars

COMING SOON! Mayflower will conduct industry-specific and business-focused educational seminars on topics including cultivation, product manufacturing, retailing and business principles. Monthly sessions with members of the Mayflower Executive and Management Teams will feature topics that are specific to the cannabis industry as well as a broader base of information about business development and operations.
